Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a Day-to-day basis:
- Fold letters to send out to patients.
- Prep clinics
- File letters in notes
- Sometimes manage reception by checking patients in
- send back notes/ request notes
- Sometimes go to the main hospital and collect notes.
- open and destitute post throughout the department.
- Send back closed volumes of notes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I do very much enjoy what I'm doing at the moment, more then I thought that I would.
I would consider getting a more long term job within this job role as I like doing what I am doing now.
I feel very welcomed and happy in the department I am in now so I think that makes me enjoy the program even more.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt to be more confident when on reception by talking to patients and trying to help them with any questions they may have.
And I have also learnt what its like to work in a healthcare sector as this is my first real experience working in a healthcare environment.

It is very organised and we all help each other in the office if we have a problem.
They are all very supportive and helpful feels like a family environment.

A good amount as I said it feels like a family environment and we are all very close.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Lots I can always message my lifetime teacher if I have a problem with my learning or a question to ask her.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps me understand how I should communicate to patients and helps me understand my job role as a whole better.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

during charismas time we all had a gathering at our team managers house it was very friendly and I felt very welcomed it was only the admin staff.
