Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Working in audit at an associate level in the Birmingham PwC office.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The programme is challenging, but rewarding. I think it is the right balance of university and work and therefore I would say I enjoy the experience.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Learnt how to use PwC tools such as Vantage, Connect and Aura. These helped me to improve my technical skills, particularly within Microsoft Excel.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The programme is very well structured, it is clear when each placement/study period is. It is not made clear that a significant portion of the cohort (around 3/8) do not graduate due to failure in exams or placement, this should be known before joining.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The employer is very supportive, as well as the university backed teams too. I would recommend them wholly.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The support is extremely fantastic, they allow you to study a difficult qualification at ease.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification is directly linked to the role, and therefore is extremely relevant.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are several opportunities to get involved in these across a range of activities.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
A great place to work, collaborate and develop as a person. The support, as well as the community is welcoming and understanding.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
I would consider that it is very competitive, and therefore working on soft skills such as interview preparation and general awareness around the subject area would be useful.
