Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
My role is basically that of an intern / associate, so the tasks i'm involved in don't have too much judgement and are less technical. However, I'm able to access tonnes of coaching to learn new procedures on the engagement and gain an insight into how the audit operates.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I thoroughly enjoyed the process, although the work didn't change too much from engagement to engagement I loved working in London and meeting new people through differing engagements.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I've learnt about many different audit procedures and now know how to implement most of them. I'm able to navigate many different tools used at PWC and I'd say I have developed professionally to a high standard and know a lot more about how an office operates.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
At the beginning of my placement, I'm not sure if there was enough work that someone of my grade could complete but there was a 3 week period where I wasn't allocated anything and I know I wasn't the only one this happened to. However after this there were no issues.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
A decent level of support and higher than I expected
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Decently high level
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
N/A
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Yes

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It's a very friendly environment and you can gain a lot of useful experience at the company
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Be as outgoing as possible and just get stuck in, people of a higher grade at the company will notice and appreciate it. Try to find the resourcing department at the start to get longer engagements as there's a better chance of leaving a positive impact and having progressive work.
