Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The team did a really good job of packing a lot of fun activities into a full work day. On any given day we would have nearly 4-5 activities ranging from presentations by senior management at the firm to taking part in legal workshops to understand what work in commercial law really looks like.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The presentations around the opportunities at a global law firm like DLA Piper were really insightful. They worked hard to tailor the presentations to demonstrate not only what the firm had to offer but how we as students and potential future lawyers could make an impact in this space.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Above anything else, i feel the insight program really helped develop my communication skills. There were over 100 students at the insight program from all across the UK who did not know one another. As well as trying to navigate through this new world of commercial law we were being exposed to I was also building new relationships and making new friends.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It was really fun and vibrant atmosphere. No one felt out of place and everyone was very social with each other.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I had a really enjoyable time at the insight programme. As a student with a disability I was concerned about how accessible the work and content would be for me but the early recruitment team made an enormous effort to ensure I could access everything.
