Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
2/5
I manage a team of 70 agency and permanent staff dealing with warehouse operations. my role covers inbound midbound and outbound teams and I am responsible for ensuring Key Performance Indicators are met, implementing and promoting continuous improvement and making sure all staff are safe and compliant with the workplace.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
i have really enjoyed the programme and have had the opportunity to get to know other people in a similar situation. i found it useful to be able to share knowledge and experience with others. i have also enjoyed improving my skills and using the things i have learnt in my workplace

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
i have greatly developed my skills in data cleaning and feel i can take a much more structure approach to sorting and structuring data before i begin my analysis. i feel have learnt some new excel skills and particular formulas have proved useful whilst undertaking my day to day tasks

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
i didn't feel the programme was particularly well structured. and felt left on my own quite a lot. i felt that because a lot of the training needed to be on the job there was a reliance on people within my workplace to teach me when they are not really qualified to do so.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
my employer has been very supportive especially my direct line managers. they have done what they can to reach out to other areas of the business to get my the on the job training i required and been happy to give me the time to complete and e learning required.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
i felt the support from the training provider was lacking as mentioned before the gap between face to face training sessions was too big and the catch up sessions were less about supporting me and more about making sure i had ticked a box with very little benefit to me
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
had i completed the programme the qualification and skills learned would have helped me in my role as line manager to analyze the activity within the warehouse and implement continuous improvement. i would have improved my ability to forecast future work and staff levels as well as highlighting problem areas
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
there is not currently any extra curricular activities that i am involved with however i work as part of a close knit group of managers who regularly support each other and are available to each other should they be required. although no professional networking events have been organised networking is available throughout my working day.
