Lots of interesting details and information over the 3 days . I was able to network with other students and those who work in the various Pinsent Masons offices. There was a variety of speakers and opportunities to ask questions - no question was too silly ! Seems like a great firm to work for.
To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?

I enjoyed it to an extent - there were a few sessions that we needed further information to allow us to undertake tasks ! But there were others that were fab....the Belfast staff in particular were really friendly and welcoming. A great opportunity for all. Thanks for the opportunity offered to us.
How well organised was your work experience?

It was very well organised and gave a great overview of the firm and the different fields that they work in. A great variety of different types of law were covered and they gave us a great insight into the work that they do on a day to day basis.
How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

I enjoyed the opportunity and definitely think this is the career path for me - but need to decide what aspect of law is for me and what type of firm I would wish to get employment in. Whether a small firm or one that is a multinational one with offices in the UK or abroad.

What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?

How communication and team working are required for this career. Also, the willingness to engage and interact with others. Resilience is needed as you can work loads of late nights and long days. Determination to succeed is also a great trait to have...Patience also is needed and great attention to detail

How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

The firm appears to care for its staff and allows them opportunities to develop both personally and professionally. There appear to be a firm that you work hard and play hard also. There are lots of outside activities you can get involved in from social to sport to cookery to charity
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?
4/5
It was very well organised and gave a great overview of the firm and the different fields that they work in. There was opportunities to see other supervisors on calls but very few networking opportunities with other students - it was straight into the work experience with no "ice-breaker" opportunities.

Yes I think it is The firm appears to care for its staff and allows them opportunities to develop both personally and professionally. There appear to be a firm that you work hard and play hard also. There are lots of outside activities you can get involved in from social.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pinsent Masons LLP?
Do research - and speak to anyone who works in the firm and get any opportunity you can to speak to current staff and trainees - be prepared to work hard and appreciate though that this is a competitive field of employment. Take all opportunities that are offered to you daily and weekly.
