Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am involved in the day-to-day audit of different clients. Main roles include gaining first hand experience in audit work, team-work is an essential part of the day-to-day role along with interacting with clients, and having responsibility for different parts of the audit.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really enjoyed gaining a hands on experience in audit, the support network that we receive whilst on placement is really good, which enables us to feel comfortable and supported.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed new skills in applying what I have learnt at university into work. Through working on different clients I have gained skills which include professional scepticism and excel skills. Whilst developing on team-work and listening skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organised for set times in which we attend university for some of the year and then join PwC, Which means at the university of Manchester we take our exams for the year before starting placement.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We receive a lot of support, firstly through buddies, who are usually someone from the flying start degree in a higher year than you. Along with this your career coach is always on hand to answer any questions. Whilst working on a client, your team is always there too.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We receive a large amount of support as whilst at university. Members of staff from uni are also on hand to support whilst on placement, as we are still classed as university students.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

This enables you to learn about audit and different areas of finance which in turn enable you to take what you have learnt whilst at uni and put this into practice whilst on placement at PwC. So the learning you complete helps massively.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There were many socials to get involved with which include the cricket social and one firm one day, where you are able to take a day from working and help raise money for a given charity by taking part in various activities for example netball competitions.

Why?
The support and wide range of experience you receive whilst on placement as you have responsibility over main aspects of the audit but always have help and support when this is needed. You are able to meet a wide range of people and interact with your team and clients.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
When applying to PwC you need to be confident in yourself and show that you are able to work independently when it is needed but more importantly work as a team, As team-work is essential when working at PwC.
