Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
On a day-to-day basis I did a fair amount of admin work, updating figures, selecting boxes and essentially doing tasks that would free up time for Senior Associates so that they could tackle more difficult and time consuming tasks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoyed the programme more towards the end when I was more confident and had more skills and knowledge to make use of.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
With each task I was given I learnt new skills however these skills could only be applied in the future to that specific task again.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
There were moments were communication was lacking but overall it was fairly well structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
There was also support available if you asked for it however it would've been nice if we were checked in on without having to ask for help, being new and not having too much confidence.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
We work towards our qualification in university during term time. I feel as though the university could do a lot more to aid us in this process especially this year when we had few lectures actually happen due to strikes.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
Next to none of the knowledge I have acquired in university has helped me on this placement. Everything I have needed to know or be able to do, I have been taught on placement or have picked up as I went along.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are a lot of social activities ranging from bowling, monthly staff dinners etc.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
There really is room for so many different types of people at PwC, it's just about finding where you fit in so be yourself and you will end up where you belong.
