Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am a HR Apprentice in the Business Partnering team. Every day is unique. I am involved in various projects and activities across HR including business change, diversity and inclusion, employee relations , engagement. Each enabling me to learn and utilise different skills and experience.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme at BPP is very varied with modules which are relevant to my day job. I enjoy the additional learning and research side required for assignments

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learnt lots of new skills. I've enhanced my personal skills such as relationship management, confidence and resilience in dealing with difficult situations, and project management skills to ensure key projects are delivered effectively. I've enhanced my technical knowledge and skills including employment law.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is structured in a logical manner with clear timelines of when assignments are due, which is great to be able to be prepared to make sure deadlines can be achieved . However, sometimes the deadlines between one assignment and the next can be very short.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Everyone at IM is so supportive, and always willing to offer me support and advice. I am given the opportunity to take my apprenticeship learning and put it into practice.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My apprenticeship coach is really friendly and helpful for when I have any questions.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I learn the theory and I am given the opportunity to put it into practice. I have understanding of legal implications, best practice of what other organisations and research suggests it, and I'm able to use this in my day job to inform my approach and decisions
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I think there are especially for those in legal areas. Our team are making more of an effort to do activities together as a team.
