Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day to day basis involves me visiting different sites across the team carrying a client preformed maintenance visit which involves you checking critical plantroom making sure they are all running in good conditions, creating graphics and input/output modules and helping the customer to make their building more sustainable. Also meeting up with customers to discuss future projects.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The program so far has been enjoyable, as it is a technical role and it relates to my previous courses that
I have studies at college. I enjoy being able to travel to different sites across London and seeing the different types of BMS system there are in different building and how they mange to operate with this it has helped me improve my knowledge and skills. To sum up it is very enjoyable.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a vast variety of new skills while working for Schneider Electric most of the skill I have picked up from different training course I have attended, Electrical Awareness understanding the safe way to isolated any electrical equipment, EcoStruxure Workstation learning how to use our stoneware that we use on a daily basics on site. The existing skill that I have developed on are my technical understating on electrical machinery and my communication skill making me more confident to speak in front of others.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The program is well organised as it consist of you being at work for four day a week and once a week at university. The way that the program been structured is great as you gain a lot of knowledge and skills from work which helps in your university work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

In regards to support it is always available as an apprentice you have two apprentice mangers and one line manger that you work with so whenever I feel like I need support there is always one of them that I can contact that will be able to help me, and you also get a lot of support from your colleagues that you work with along side with.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training providers have been giving a lot of support as you are required to have a progress review meeting with your university every month to discus and difficulties you have or any additional support you are required to help you with university and most lectures allow you to contact them by either calling them or email.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

With the qualification that I'm studding for at university has helped me with the basic understanding to what I do at work as I'm more familiar with the technical terms and phrases. There are some modules that don't relate to anything you do at work so it vary depending on what modules you are doing in each semester at university.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are extra-curricular activities which you can get involved as of this current moment i haven't attend any of these actives yet as I have recently joined Schneider Electric. But there is a voluntary organisation that work along side with Schneider Electric which i have applied fro called STEM Ambassador this helps young people to be more engaged with technology and engineering career paths.

Why?
Schneider Electric is supportive, inclusive, and offers limitless future opportunities. Working with a fun team of individuals and the daily challenges are two things I enjoy very much. My confidence has increased, and working at Schneider has stoked my enthusiasm for a future career in engineering. I would high recommend it to a friend.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Schneider Electric?
I would recommend doing some research about the company understanding what they do and how the plan to help the environment. Also research what are the companies core vales and ambitions and just be yourself be passionate about the areas of work your applying and gain new knowledge and skills.
