Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

developing a good understanding of client companies and their industry
advertising vacancies by drafting and placing adverts
headhunting suitable candidates who may already be in work
using candidate databases to match the right person to the client's vacancy
receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and tests and creating a shortlist of candidates for the client
preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients
organising interviews for candidates

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes - I have been give full responsibility on a 360 Marketing desk. Now, I'm able provide advice to both clients and candidates on salary levels, training requirements and career opportunities.
