Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role as a CRM trainee consists of me communicating with all levels of staff & stakeholders in gathering requirements and demoing potential resolutions. Furthermore it consists of me designing, developing and testing configuration changes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have greatly enjoyed this programme as I've been able to gain valuable experience in the Investment Management industry which many people my age aren't able to gain. I've been able to meet and speak with highly respected and interesting individuals and gain my own personal network.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, I would say this role allowed me to develop my analytical skills but mainly allowed me to develop on my communication skills as on a daily basis, I had to reach out to people by email and also hold calls with them, demoing configuration changes I may have made.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I would say it's very structured, the training programmes are well put together are focused on subjects that are vital for our development.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a great amount of support, they are always there and ready whenever I have any queries and I'm constantly supported and pushed to develop my skills.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
They send out an email with a question every day, so that constantly works your brain but even the resources that are available there are very easy to understand, making it easier to study towards my qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It allows me to get a deeper understanding of the industry I work in, especially when it comes to terminology and jargon, so whenever I am speaking to colleagues, I am able to understand things they are referring to.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I have joined 'NextGen' which is a network that is aimed at the younger generation of colleagues within abrdn which has allowed me to meet & connect with new people within the business, that I may have not been able to, given I wasn't in the network.
