Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I recruit for qualified accountants across West London / SW London. I call and interview candidates to shortlist and put forward for jobs and clients that I am recruiting for.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I am given a great deal of responsibility in speaking and interviewing candidates alone as well as speaking with clients alone too. I have been given the responsibility of managing my own share of desk and managing the candidates and clients that I am working with.

I have learn how to present, lead and communicate effectively with people no matter their status and level in comparison to my own - working with senior candidates and clients. I have also learnt organisation and professionalism.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I was given extensive training in the first few months of my placement and then was given a very practical and hands-on opportunity in order to put my theory to practice. There is always someone to help and answer my questions when needed.

The company culture is amazing and everyone is friendly and welcoming. The office feels like one, big , happy family!

If your looking for a career where you can fast track yourself, Hays has amazing promotional schemes! Also, be confident and show that you have the ability to take on feedback and really listen. You must show that you are able to communicate effectively or be able to learn how to do so with enough feedback and training.
