Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
As you start the shift you have to make sure to wash your hands really well. Making sure the customers gets their food farm and well packaged if they are taking out. Making sure all the drinks and food is up to standard before giving it out to the customers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
The programme was when at certain days. When there was less customers. The job overall is easy but just need to get used to it. Especially on Fridays that’s when the job becomes the hardest as there is so many orders and not that much staff to deal with the demands

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, skills that I learned from McDonald’s are communication, customer service. I got these skills as communication is a key part in a fast food restaurant as all the drinks, food the employees are making would go the customers and if there is anything wrong with the food we will relay that information back.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is well organised as they taught me to do everything really quickly and showed me around. Very helpful when I needed help with anything and always friendly. Well organised as they had all the managers with roles on the wall this allowed all the employees to know who to tell their problems if they have any.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Support was given to me over the programme by mostly everyone. All the past employees and managers really helped me when I didn’t know how to do something and would correct me if I am doing something wrong and not properly. So I would say overall support was great.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Training provider was also very helpful when needed as they made sure I was up the standard to work and achieving the qualification. They were always supportive and made sure I knew what I was doing every time I went in to work and how to do it which made me confident
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Knowledge and Skills: Qualifications provide individuals with the knowledge and skills required to perform their tasks effectively. Training programs can cover a wide range of topics, such as customer service, food safety, operating equipment, and efficient workflow management. These skills can help employees handle their responsibilities with confidence and efficiency.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are social activities and stuff events depending on the season and are mostly fun and enjoyable as you get to go out with your work colleagues and finally get to know them outside of work. Which can boost everyone morale and makes sure everyone gets to know each a little

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend McDonald's to a friend?
Yes
Why?
McDonald’s may sound like a bad place to work however with my experience it’s on of the best as the job is really easy and You don’t have much responsibility and everyone there is in the same boat meaning they are willing to help you if needed.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to McDonald's?
Main advice is stay friendly with everyone especially your managers. Make sure to not speak back to customers if they say something rude as there is a chance they might take you off the programme if problems are caused by you. Last tip: don’t worry about it to much this job is easy as it gets.
