Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Daily tasks involve contacting the senior members of the client teams for updates on the work programme, emailing clients to request documents or to raise queries, performing analytical reviews and testing. Typically, we will be working on one client at a time, however, over a 6 month period you may be working on several clients of varying size and complexity.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The programme has been a great way to incorporate the knowledge learnt from our studies with BPP into our day job. The progression through both has been parallel meaning I have felt more comfortable taking on new areas as time has gone by. The culture is inclusive and the office environment is productive and inviting. The teams encourage questions and teaching.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
My analytical skills have greatly been enhances, along with my knowledge and sophistication with excel. My people skills have grown as I have been responsible for interacting with both internal teams and clients, both over email and face-to-face. My time management and organisation skills have improved as we have worked towards deadlines set externally.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The collage days are planned and timetabled well in advance. We have both in person teaching as well as time off for self-study at home.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Support is offered through many streams, a buddy system gives you access to people who are only a year ahead of you, while your people manager is the person to go to with issues, questions and for advice. There are many support groups and teams that are available to provide information or to ask questions.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The collage days and online material are well equipped to provide enough support for the exams. There are forums, catch-up calls and progress tests to ensure that you are on top of the study.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Without the training, the roll would be much harder. After each exam I am able to take my newly acquired knowledge and apply it to my work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
The team organises a variety of social events for everyone to get involved in. The firm also encourages everyone to join sports teams to get active. I am part of the running club, hockey club and badminton club. All of which meet weekly for training and join external leagues to compete against other firms. There is no commitment requires as work schedules are always changing. Additionally, talks and events are put on to give an insight into different celebrations and events.
