Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I aid on consultancy work which includes report writing, meetings, data work (eg programs like GIS) and site work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is exciting and engaging, it is great to get experience on project work within your sector. Although, juggling university and work can be stressful.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed skills in report writing, digital (eg GIS and excel) and soft skills like confidence and teamwork.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme has 6 month rotations through the different environmental teams. This is good to be able to get lots of experience. As the apprenticeship is new, the university can be unorganised, which involves lots of admin work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We receive lots of support from our employers, we have two managers to help manage pastoral care, university and workload
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We receive two days of study leave per assignment
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

They do not link very much, but the soft skills we develop are useful.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of socials, networking and sports teams. For example, I am part of the climbing group.
