Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Every day will never be the same here! I switch between internal training, client work, studies for ACA exams, and also internal networks I'm involved in such as - Peer group, Gender Balance, Diversity and Inclusion. So it's hard to describe day to day, as it's also flexible - I work from home or office or client site or even at Kaplan's training centre.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

As an Associate (and an apprentice) my responsibilities are to learn and to improve, and company does everything to allow you to progress with a speed of light. I work and study, meet new people, learn A LOT, and I get the support I need to achieve my best!
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My communication skills has really improved - as you communicate with colleagues, your peers, clients, etc. Also, understanding of a business and of course, accounting - as we study towards ACA qualification.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very structured, but also never stagnate - and if company identifies a better way, they will change it.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The wide range of support available for us - from shopping discounts and other benefits to internal resources, like medical insurance. But I've personally experienced support that I'd never expect from an employer - I've been off work due to mental health reasons and I've been surrounded with all the help possible - counseling, occupational health, internal resources, financial support via insurance.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Kaplan gives us a fair amount of material and knowledge, sometimes more than you can consume, but definitely more than enough to prepare for exams. I know peers that received best results overall and got ACA recognition, which I think says a lot about type of people that work here and support provided.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Qualification and client work are linked very much. Managers often familiar with your progress and will give a more challenging task to put that knowledge into practice, which is very helpful for my own benefit.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are always a plenty of activities going on: wide range of networks: neurodiversity, parenting, diversity and inclusion, student council, etc. As well as social activities that organised within industry groups or wide-events.

Why?
I'd recommend PwC to a friend because it's a great place to work: great people, resources provided to learn and grow, your progress is important and assessed yearly, we receive other types of support (benefits, etc), and we have support from our colleagues as we have offices in other countries - there is always a shoulder to lean on. PwC is a great place to kick start your career!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Research company, its values, structure and follow their approach. Trust the process, be mindful of others and be yourself!
