To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
Bleakest time of my experience on the programme was through covid-19/ lock down.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Better able to communicate with other (internal/ external).
Increased construction technical knowledge.
Increased understanding and application of contracts.
Gained ability to manage construction packages on a given project.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
How much support do you receive from your employer?
Considerably in recent years. During my first year I had a very dedicated line manager who was in tune with my progression and growth. There was however an interim period (changed projects) where this was not quite met.
This had then been addressed and I was moved onto a different project.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
However, I do prefer to learn practically and with a more hands on approach.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
Work drinks.
Charity events.
There could however be more extra curricular.
