Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The first days were spent attending talks about various aspects of the firm. This gave us helpful insight into the firm and its culture. Then we were assigned a supervisor and spent time with them in their department, meeting trainees, associates and partners as well as doing some work for them. We also were assigned a trainee buddy who we could chat to and who also set us some tasks to do.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was a very interesting experience and I had the opportunity to talk to lawyers undertaking different types of work across the firm. It has helped to increase my knowledge about what it is to be a lawyer and the sort of work that they do on a day to day basis.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Clydes has a really positive atmosphere and everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. I had trainees, associates and former partners reach out to me and take time to chat and answer questions. Also, people from other departments who I contacted to talk to were proactive and responsive.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
Despite it being a full-on week, I still enjoyed my time as I learnt something new every day. Being able to go into the office was also a plus!
