Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I have been at AON for 18 months now and since i have been there i have been exposed and involved in a variety of different things. I started off in the data team where i was running data packs and reports and creating presentations for clients and reinsurers. Since september 2022 i have been handling a variety of clients for a specific region where i have been handling their claims and dealing with their queries to try and collect claim settlements.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy my programme, i have made really nice friends since being on the apprenticeship programme i have learnt a lot and i also have had so much support from not only the colleagges at Aon but also with my apprenticeship extrernal training provider davies learning solutions as well.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, i have learns a massive amount of new skills. First off i have developed my knowledge in the insurance industry for one. prior to starting AON i had no knowledge at all of the industry so it has been amazing to see how much i have learnt. not only have i learnt new skills i have also developed my communication, confidence as well as team working skills

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
i think my programme is really structured well, each month on my aptem i have tasks to complete as well as off the job hours where i will have to add entries of what i have learnt off the duties from my day to day job. i also have frequent catch ups with my training coach as well as progress reviews.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
i think i receive a lot of support from my employee, especially starting the apprenticeship off with the induction week this provided me with a lot of support as i was able to see all of the different aspects that are involved within AON. i also recieve daily support from my team as well.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
i receive a lot of support from my training provider as i am working towards my qualification i have had various monthly catch up meetings with them and i have also had various progress reviews. i am confortable to contact my coach if i have any concerns or just need some help so they are really helpful.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I think that the completion of my CERT CII has benefited and helped me to perform massively. Before i started AON i never knew what insurance was so i have learnt a lot since completing my studies. I have just started my first diploma module and it has already provided me with so much more knowledge that is relevant to my day to day job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes there are extra curricular activities that i can get involved in at my work. i am not involved in anything to do with sport however i am part of a few networking groups. i am part of the mental health networking group and we have regular meetings where we just express what is going on during that area. As well as this, i have also attended a few networking events where i have been able to meet others in the market.
