Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
An overview of my role as an apprentice is to be with a qualified engineer and learn as much as possible and in my case it involves doing Planned prevented maintenance which can be weekly and monthly and daily tasks and doing reactive tasks which can be anything that happens there and then.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I would say I enjoy the programme to a high extent as I have developed and learnt a lot which is what I wanted in my apprenticeship and will be able to do a lot of training and widen my knowledge and experience within the industry which can be used within the business to benefit the company and myself.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt new skills and developed my existing skills in my apprenticeship and they are definitely skills such as being able to think differently and approach tasks in a different way, I can now fix/work on equipment I never could and I understand a lot more about the industry and have developed knowledge.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I would say the apprenticeship scheme is organised and structured to a high extent as they have a team that works on it and asks us about it so improvements can be made and their are actions in place that managers have to use for us to complete and follow such as specific training and options we have that we can follow.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I would say I get a high amount of support if requested, I can speak to my manager/line manager at any time and the engineer on site I can too as they easy to talk too and ask them anything if necessary which allows me to feel comfortable and fit into the team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I would say I receive a high amount of support as plans are in place so that qualifications I want/route I want definitely happens. My line manager goes through training and asks me if I want to go on it in the future of the apprenticeship which allow me to gain training.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel that the qualifications that i will gain in the future will help me better in my role due to me then getting more knowledge of that topic therefore I will be more competent and the line of work I am in is great for more training as they we know more and can do more
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes our line manager organises quite a lot of outside activities such as going bowling with the team, going out together and football on Astro turf with another contract we have which allows us to see another team part of the same contract and the company as a whole organises network events that allows everyone to see other people within the company.
