Day to day tasks can vary depending on project type. Some of the tasks can include: Planning applications, planning statements, stakeholder workshops, on site activities, report writing and other.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The support I get from both my university and Arup is second to none. The programme is more than I could have hoped for.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I came to Arup with no town planning experience and now my understanding of town planning processes has completely changed and developed.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Extremely well, I know the structure for my entire course and have a meeting every 12 weeks with both my manager and training provider to ensure that everything is satisfactory.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

As much as I need.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I am in university once a week and have a meeting every 12 weeks with my mentor. I can email at any point for more support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I had no prior town planning experience, therefore my degree directly corresponds with my on the job learning to develop my skills.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are weekly events, especially for new grads and apprentices. This also includes the yearly ski trip!
