Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:

Guests would come in and give us talks about what their jobs involved within their companies. These companies included BP, HP and Dell. We would also get time at the end to ask our own questions to help better our understanding about the work experience. Computacenter also gave their own talks and had us complete group activities together so that we could better our team-working in a workplace.

I enjoyed the work experience a lot as it was very informative and I feel I gained a lot of new skills.

It helped me gain experience in both sales and IT fields which will most likely be the route I am going to take in my career.

Skills Development
What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?

I was able to better my own social skills as i was working in groups with people i had never met before. I also learnt how to come up with creative ideas and present them to others in form of a lecture/presentation. This helped me to gain more confidence speaking in front of others.

How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

I feel that due to the senior employees that came and spoke to us, I have a good idea of what it would be like if I were to join the company.
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

We got to speak with existing employees and students who were doing apprenticeships. It helped to gain an understanding of what I would be doing if I joined.

Why?
Because it is a nice company filled with friendly and helpful people. The facilities are also very nice and there are many different aspects of the company that you could join.
