Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Significant variation in day-to-day work. Tasks included the conduct of a commercial stakeholder simulation exercise and networking with clients and lawyers. Further tasks included various group presentation activities covering innovation and commercial awareness. Constant virtual contact with fellow participants and CMS staff.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Regular sessions conducted throughout covering CMS, its current practice and its future. Further opportunities provided for questions. Highly informative in deciding to accept a future offer of employment.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Given the challenges posed in conducting a placement virtually, the general atmosphere was positive. Clear insight was provided into the company culture through various diversity and sustainability sessions. Regular virtual social gatherings allowing for conversation before and after work.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CMS
My main tip would be to relax and be confident. While preparation and professionalism are important, the CMS staff I met throughout the assessment process were friendly and keen to learn about my skills and attributes.
