I throughly enjoyed my Pinsent Masons work experience. It involved various tasks such as talks from solicitors and other people in the legal sector. It also included CV, interview and University tips for the future which I found especially useful. We completed other legal tasks such as a contract law exercise
To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?

I thoroughly enjoyed my work experience and I would definitely recommend this program to anyone else. I am still unsure on my favored uni course but this work experience has allowed me to gain a deeper knowledge of the law and what studying law will involve so I will make a choice accordingly
How well organised was your work experience?

It was organized very well, especially the website called Forage. I found forage was very useful and very organized, as I could find the teams calls very easily. It also had any key resources attached which I used for many of the legal tasks for example the contract law task
How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

The PRIME Pinsent Masons legal work experience was very useful. Before starting the work experience, I was unsure between law, history and also economics for a uni course. I still am not fully decided however this program has made me want to possibly pursue a career in law, no matter what course I choose.
Were you paid or reimbursed for this experience?

No I was not paid for this Pinsent Masons work experience. However I believe this is not a problem as it has gave me key skills such as legal knowledge, analytical skills and communication and leadership roles. However I will receive a 5 pound gift card upon completing this survey

What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?

Doing this work experience in the legal sector provided me with the opportunity to speak to individuals in order to gain a deep understanding of the law, legal procedures, and the legal system. This includes knowledge of specific areas of law, such as corporate law, criminal law, or family law.

How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

I learned much about the company culture as I researched it before hand. I will continue to keep an eye on Pinsent Masons and any future legal opportunities such as any future work experience. I believe I would enjoy working there as many of the people I met were very nice
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

Yes there were many opportunities for networking and meeting other employees. We met many trainee solicitors and solicitors who had inspiring stories which was very interesting. On Wednesday 5th April from 12:15 to 13:15 we had a networking lunch which allowed us to network and share details with others

Why?
I would definitely recommend the PRIME Pinsent Masons work experience to a friend. It has Gave me key skills that I will use in the future for interview's, Cv's or any other work experience settings. I definitely gained from completing this work experience and do not regret it
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pinsent Masons LLP?
I would say it is important to gain as much legal work experience as you can. However it is also necessary to have other types of work experience such as a part time job. Overall, you should not lie on your CV so you can answer questions about it, and just be yourself !
