Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is to greet guests with a smile. Acknowledge any queries or complaints and deal with these accordingly. Making sure guests needs are met and sometimes exceeded. Always putting the guest first. Making sure paperwork is done for housekeepers and managing there job lists to make sure each room is cleaned to standard ready for our guests arrival.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I’ve enjoyed it fully as I wanted to learn reception for a while. This apprenticeship gave me the skills to learn all about reception and all the jobs involved

Very well organised. Meetings arranged with appropriate notice.

At first not a lot as there were no shifts available to start my training.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

If it wasn’t for my trainer I would have quit my course at the very beginning as I wasn’t receiving support from work, but she went above and beyond to make sure I got all the information I needed to carry on.
