Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role within Experian is very diverse. I work within the 4 categories - Data, Marketing professional services and IT. My main role is within IT where I am currently reviewing renewal contracts and setting up calls with stakeholders to see if they want to change anything, then altering the contract accordingly. I also partake in RFP processes, getting NDA's in place, getting consumer price clauses in the contract and more.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I Enjoy the role a lot, it's insightful to learn the knowledge then be able to apply it in my day-to-day role. The apprenticeship side is a lot of hours so there has ben some difficulty with time management however Experian are very accommodating and have allowed me to use some of my working hours to complete the studying required

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, my knowledge continues to grow on a day-to-day basis. My skills with excel and powerBI have grown a lot as well as my general knowledge of procurement activities which lie within the procurement cycle. I feel far more competent doing some tasks on my own now such as raising Purchase requsitions and signing NDA's.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Experian are highly organised, however the apprenticeship provider isn't quite as organised. We have had quite a few teething issues with receiving books and what's actually expected of tasks. Saying this SRSCC have improved in the last couple of months since we have mentioned that we weren't satisfied.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I have lots of support from my employer. I have weekly meetings with my line manager where I can express my concerns or worries. They constantly check that my work load is manageable and that I have exposure to all the relevant areas to be fully competent at the end of my programme
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
There's lots of support during the in person days however outside of these days the support is minimal. Myself and another colleague asked for a full mark essay so we knew what to aim for, this was never received. We often find some emails are ignored and there's not one point of contact to reach out to if we require further assistance.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The apprenticeship provider makes sure there's lots of different tasks to make sure we have more than the required knowledge, however this works out at around 80/90 hours a month. Therefore it takes up a lot of time drawing focus away from my role. However given that there was more hours in a day it'd be sufficient
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are lots of activities to get involved with within Experian. Some of these consist of: being part of the early careers programme, football, yoga at lunch times, mental health sessions. I have recently been part of a presentation to promote the apprenticeship route, this was an opportunity given to me through Experian.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Experian to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Experian is a great place to work, where the organisation value their employees highly. There are great benefits such as the pension scheme, health care and gym plans that evidence how much Experian value their employees. Experian are also a flexible environment adapting to the hybrid working. Overall I have loved my time so far at Experian.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Experian?
Prepare, read about the company and watch videos. Experian is an extremely complex organisation where people who have been here for a few years still don't fully understand it. So just to understand a section or being curious can go along way in the interview or when speaking to employees.
