Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Day to day in my apprenticeship at AstraZeneca I complete a range of tasks depending on what projects I am currently working on. as well as my projects I also attend a college where I am currently studying for a level 4 AAT qualification. So I also regularly revise for upcoming exams.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed several part of my apprenticeship including, working with a wide team of people from across the world. however, I feel that my apprenticeship was structured poorly as there are no options for progression during or after the apprenticeship, as well as program coordinator being changed every 6 months.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Iver the first six months of my apprenticeship at AstraZeneca I have developed my skills using several pieces of software which are completely new to me. these include but are not limited to, Dozuki which is a hub for Standard Operating Procedures and SAP where all billing documents are stored.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

How much support do you receive from your employer?

During the course of my apprenticeship i have received brilliant support from all my immediate colleagues, these people have always been happy to help with any questions i have had when starting any new tasks and projects and have been a pleasure to work with.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

the support from my training provider has generally been good this is including revision feedback from tutors, so that was very helpful and the tutors always offered extra support to anyone that asked for it. the progress coaches were generally good except sometimes there would be long delays (up to 4 weeks) between getting responses which at one point unfortunately resulted in me missing a course start date.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

my qualification is not overly relevant to my role so has not provided much help with specifics in my job however has been helpful in my accounting abilities in the occasional times when those skills are used
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Would you recommend AstraZeneca to a friend?
Yes
Why?
yes if you are a scientist as there are lots of roles and opportunities for highly supported apprenticeships, however if it is for an apprenticeship outside of science then these apprenticeships can be less well structured and planned. As, understandably, the company very much focuses on the science research and development areas.
