Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is to work with schools and to be that schools account manager and to be able to help them with their IT problems and provide/ source a solution
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I very much enjoy the programme, it's very engaging and interactive and makes sure your always learning something new and expanding what you can do. For example taking responsibility for a project with a customer and making sure it all goes smoothly for them.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Developed communication skills massively from talking to customers on a daily basis has made me more confident in my communication with other people
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organised making sure you have the bulk of your learning before you start the role properly so when it comes to it you can solely focus on the role and improving your skills for it. It's also structured to have a week away at a masterclass every other month which is massively helpful as it allows you to focus on learning and the amount of knowledge obtained in these classes are massively helpful towards your role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

From your employer you receive a lot of help having weekly meetings with your manager to make sure your on track and everything is okay. You also get a apprentice buddy when you join too as they know the position your in when you join and what your going to have to go through so they'll be able to help more directly too.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider is always on hand to help. Reviews are set every few weeks to make sure everything is okay and going smoothly but if you have any queries in the mean time their always on hand to help all the time with any support it may be.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps massively as part of your role when you join you have to do projects so the provider helps to make sure your project is going smoothly and from doing your project you learn a lot which helps towards your role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes so many, for example football and many other sports teams. Also go out on a lot of nights out mostly like for example team nights out a lot of those and networking events there'll be days such as vendor days where people come in from other companies and you can meet them and have a session with them.

The work culture is truly unmatched. Everyone is so friendly and always willing to help. The work it's self is very rewarding as what you put in you do literally get back so the work is worthwhile and rewarding to do. It's a excellent company which can provide a lot of opportunities in the future.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Softcat?
Be yourself in the interviews and be confident and don't be shy to get involved/ dive in.
