Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role is second in command. I take over the running of the business financially and operationally when the BM is on annual leave. I also am responsible for parts of this on a day to day basis.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy my programme. I'm worries for the end point assessment. And I don't get the time I am supposed to get each week, I worry that I end up cramming the information and don't retain it as well.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt more about financials in the past year- along with health and safety and risk management. I have learnt more about leadership

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Well organized, I see my coach regularly and know I can discuss any issues or worries with him. I like Aptem how it tells me what I should be completing each month. I try and stay on track, this is difficult without my alloted time.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
I get help with certain modules if I push. I don't get enough time on the floor, this is due to my role in the restaurant.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I get a lot of support here. I get great feedback. However I am still worried.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I think I use some of the things I have learnt in my role, however not all of them. Mostly leadership skills and behaviours and management style.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Just RMHC really.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend McDonald's to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think someone in a lower position than me would really benefit from the programme and be able to get the time they need and not stress.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to McDonald's?
Ensure that you speak to your supervisor first and get something in writing that you will get your hours per week for off the job training and Aptem work.
