Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves prioritising digital initiatives to transform the insurance business working with development teams, scrum master, engineers and testers to develop solutions aimed at delivering value and benefits. Daily scrum ceremonies help keep the team focused on delivery, motivating teams and individuals towards the goals of our area for successful outcomes
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I get a lot of satisfaction from the program meet other students, have enjoyed both the social participation and the various learnings. The experience is so rewarding and provides a great achievement which is so motivating as I continue to develop new skills and abilities I couldn’t recommend highly enough

Lots of new skills, presentation, technical, behavioural, experience, web design, stakeholder engagement, alignment, business testing, usability, SEO, communication skills, time management skills, planning, giving feedback, engineering, engagement, collaboration tools and techniques, reflective tools, techniques, critical thinking skills, organisation skills, motivation and team leadership, new and existing skills developed as has my confidence

How well organised/structured is your programme?

There are various modules spread out across the academic years, various skills coaches, lecturers all focused on getting the best learning experience for their students. The tools used help structure the learning content and this is something that gives a lot of focus and structure with easy access to the materials
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots of support from line manager other people within Apprenticeship team, regular meetings to discuss any issues challenges support needed, all dealt with professionally and time off is provided to work on studies, together with essential expenses when at university. The employer could do more and it’s great to work and learn
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The university is exceptional it provides everything needed, the lecturers are very good the facilities at University are brilliant there are skills coaches many learning modules and everything is thought through in a thorough way to help the students achieve their best, feedback is great and it’s a great opportunity
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It gives me a different view whilst also giving a solid background and refresher. Viewing through a different lenses, being critical in thinking and learning different skills makes me so much more capable in my role and communicating with others is better too, my confidence has grown significantly and this all makes me perform my job better
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Running sports profession events and social events. I often eat with other students we plan our team assignments together and do generally meet up outside of university hours, we keep in touch support each other and I have too lead for an intern at work which is really rewarding to do

It provides a great reward package plus opportunity for the future, investing in developing your skills, it cares about giving everyone the opportunity to perform at their very best of levels and this extends to incurring additional costs and paying for expenses allowing time off for stiludies and paying for the studies

Don’t undersell your self go for it be confident be bold. You can do it it, you will be supported, makes sure you list all the skills knowledge behaviours that have led you to be successful in the past and how you’ve applied these to get successful outcomes
