Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I sit within the onboarding pod which is a small team within our wider team. At this stage I am usually shadowing design or research projects and will be given little tasks to do to go towards the project.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it, but I am working from home four to five days a week. Though I can come in more often, there isn’t much point and others won’t be there. I feel like I don’t know much compared to my colleagues in my team.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to design and prototype on Figma, how to note-take during research sessions, and how to undergo / plan research.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme itself seems organised with the off-the-job training, but when I joined, I didn’t know what I was doing and my line manager didn’t know what she was doing with me either. I never had training sessions or bits of work to do.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
Be prepared to have a hybrid way of working - it may sound good, but for certain people like myself, I do get fed up and lose motivation.
