Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Each day provided participants with a new opportunity to find out more about the firm through different talks, presentations, activities and meet and greets with current staff. We were also allowed the opportunity to meet clients, work within groups, give ur own presentations and network with others.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The scheme gave me a very good insight into how the firm works and the different opportunities that are available all of the way through from trainee to partner. Employees from all stages of their career came to speak to us about their roles and what this included. It was very helpful to know.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I learned about how to interact with clients through our various client interviews etc and also how to write better. There were many different workshops which allowed you to work on your presentation and writing skills and also many opportunities to practice these skills.

How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everyone was really eager to get to know you, all of the staff and participants were extremely nice and wanted to put you at ease. We were able to have networking events (albeit virtually) to meet knew people and were also visited by different staff and business partners of the firm, which was really great. We were also given an in-depth insight into the different extra-curricular activities and other events.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed all aspects of the insight. I found that this was really a great firm that I would love to work with. Everyone we met was really nice and the culture seems to be a really great one. I would recommend this to anyone looking to secure a training contract with the firm.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CMS
Tailor your application to the firm, get to know the firm and everything they have been doing, sign up to all of the mailing lists and go to all of the events because they do remember your name if you show up enough! Make sure that the firm is a good fit for you as well.
