Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
In my day-today role, I answer customer queries whether by phone or by email. It is from general inquiries to more specific. I also work closely with my manager so I can complete tasks on his behalf and work together toward targets that are set up by the company or the wider team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoyed my programme thoroughly so far, I have been integrated very well in my team and my team has been very supportive. I get also a lot of support from BPP (my coach) to ensure I do my best for the apprenticeship, whether it is for the exam or for the activities we do.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learned lots of new skills since I have started. I improved my IT skills a lot by using many different systems and I have improved my ability to communicate whether written or orally. I have also developed great analysis skills from having to solve various issues and queries from customers.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme itself is well structured, the modules are very interesting and there is a lot of tools to help you learn and succeed for your programme. However it felt not very organized before the start of the apprenticeship. Lots of different information given from coaches/module coordinators and many apprentices were confused on what to learn for the exam.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer has been very helpful and supportive so far. My line manager wants me to succeed and ensure that my wellbeing and process is at the forefront. I felt very supported as well from having weekly meeting to keep track on how things were going and how I was doing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My coach has been very helpful and I feel supported so far in my apprenticeship. My coach has ensure that I felt comfortable phoning or emailing her if I have any queries regarding my qualifications and the exam coming up. My coach is very supportive in wanting me to success and get my qualifications.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I believe so far it has helped to get more financial background for my role but I would not say it has helped me perform better yet. We are quite focused on passing the exam at the moment rather than the practical side of things which will be more a focus after the exam.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, there are lots of opportunities and occasions for me to get involved in various activities. My team has been great a team building via lots of external activities to do together. There are also professional networking events available for me to attend. Volunteering opportunities are also great for apprentices.

I enjoyed being able to participate in volunteering opportunities so far and I think it is a great part of working for NatWest.

I would definitely recommend people to search the company well and learn about the CPC capabilities when doing the interview. Knowing the company quite well shows that you are wanting to become part of the team and highlight your will to learn new skills. Everyday is a new learning day in NatWest, so show your interest for learning a variety of things.
