Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

overseeing the daily running of the restaurant and controlling the metrics. looking after food safety and staff safety as well as staff wellbeing. completing checks on food quality, completing inventory counts. counting and responsibility of the safe as well as cashing up the tills and completing money drops at the end of the day
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I found the programme very enjoyable and learnt a lot. the programme was easy and i found it easy to learn and pick up all the materials that were given to me. the sessions worked well around my work and personal life to ensure i had enough time to complete it all

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have improved my knowledge on recruitment and how best to pick staff suitable for the role. I have also improved my knowledge on how best to give feedback to staff and use this to help them develop in the role they are in better. I have learnt new management types and how they affect my staff

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme was well organized and structured and all of the materials needed were in one place and easy to read and understand. there was an update to the learning platform halfway through my learning and it made it even more easier to use and added more information in one place
How much support do you receive from your employer?

my employer gave me a lot of support and help during my learning programme and made sure i had enough time to complete the course and all of the exams included, if i needed time to complete activities i was given this and helped with anything i needed to complete my activites
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

my training provider was very helpful a gave me all the support i needed, my training provider gave me all of the needed materials and training to help me complete my modules and exams. they were always available if needed them for any support or guidance or had any questions
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification helps me in my role as i now have a better understanding of how i can make an impact on the buisness and how my role can provide support and help improve the goals of the buisness. i have learnt how to improve profits and maintain a profitable buisness.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

At work we have events we hold throughout the year for all crew and management to get involved in, these events range from work social events as a thank you for everyone's work to events to help clean the local area. as well as events to help raise money for charity

McDonald's is a very good place to work because it provides a safe and enjoyable place to work, they give everyone the support they need to develop within the role as well as being flexible with working time and shifts to work around your personal life. you get a free meal every shift
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to McDonald's?
For anyone applying to McDonald's i would say, expect a fast paced high pressure work environment that will always keep you on your toes and learning new things, but also the rewards for this are great pay, new learning experiences, new friends and a lot of other benefits. The job isn't easy but if you try and are successful you will gain a lot
