My apprentice makes me an audit associate at PwC, this means that as an auditor we review the financial statements of companies and provide trust in them. On a day to day basis this means reviewing company accounts, financial statements and learning more about businesses
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the challenges it brings and my coworkers, its long hours and hard work but its a very friendly and understanding programme

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've developed my experiences in time management and organisation a lot as well as picking up new communication skills (weather with clients or with coworkers)
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Its organised well for the most part, the structure of exams then work then exams works well. However you aren't always given much exam time, and trying to juggle it with full time busy work adds unneeded stress
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We receive a lot of support. There are many different people assigned to each new associate to guide them and to be an ear for support when its needed

It helps with the understanding of the role and the general knowledge that's needed to perform the broader job. It makes learning and performing the day to day job easier

They have social teams, sports teams and they often do socials outside of work hours. Not as many as expected but good amount

Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
In terms of learning and gaining experience quickly it really is an amazing place for that. I'd say that I'd only recommend it if you know and understand that you will be working really hard, and it will be really stressful
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Put in that time to research what you need to do in each application step. Prepare, prepare, prepare. Be yourself, ultimately they're looking for your personality as much as you're skills and experiences
