Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I assist my team of surveyors with work, I usually aid communications between agents and tenants as well as speaking to utility companies setting up jobs which can be billed to, Managing fee forecasts, File creation, Working on major office initiatives i.e., diversity and inclusion. Letter mailing i.e., winter/ arrears letters to tenants sending and reviewing reports
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy my programme as I like the concept of learning on the Job. I prefer learning the actual skills, systems and tools to complete my job effectively rather than the course. I find the course gives a very general overview of sectors of business and how to manage your work and I feel that it doesn't give me a deep enough understanding of this

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt a variety of different skills especially the value of learning and reviewing knowledge. One main skill is learning to navigate the corporate world and the opportunities that are on offer.
I have increased my administration knowledge especially through my apprenticiship
I have developed more advanced communication skills and office formality and proffesionalism when responding to emails and dealing with clients
I have improved my social awareness and the impact this could have while picking up completely new concepts and knowledge i.e., an extensive course in GDPR

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I would say it is structured as there is an online platform that tracks your work and gives deadlines and projected goals in a timely manner. It is set up into modules and revisits pass knowledge. On the other hand, I feel that it should be more flexible based on where people are
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive lots of support from both my line manager and the wider team. If I ever need help or advice I am welcome to ask and will be given support. As well as this I can discuss things with people in the wider office and the head of office as support is given
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
I do not receive a lot of support from my training provider. My provider seems very disconnected to the course as I only see my coach 1 every 6 - 8 weeks and no other communication is given between that time
I submit my coursework and receive feedback around every 6 weeks prior to our meetings
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
I feel as though it doesn't help my role directly but gives me general knowledge about business.
I am yet to apply this to my day to day as the knowledge is unable to be applied
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I am in the social committee which allows us to plan office events e.g., jubilees and bake sales as well as this we have several fundraisers and provide activities all year
I am in both the ethnicity group and age group headed up in London where we have several networking events each year. as well as this in my office I am leading a new initiative for these groups and diversity and inclusion as a whole
I am in the young professionals group which means I attend several networking events throughout the year with people from different corporate companies

I also am able to learn on the job and get involved in various extra curriculars

Be Confident!
I think it is important to be confident when going for an interview and make sure that you feel comfortable and feel like it is the right place for you
It is a lovely company to work for and do not get disheartened as starting as an apprentice or feel as though you are stuck to a certain sector. There is lots of job opportunities and ways to progress and so much to get involved with
