Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Day to day activities varied and helped develop multiple skills. Coffee roulette sessions enabled us to network with other participants and regional office networking sessions enabled us to get a feel of the office we applied for even though it was through zoom. The business simulation exercise which we worked on daily enabled us to build connections, our commercial awareness and work both independently and as a team.
Overall, the scheme was highly insightful and really beneficial
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Very insightful through learning about further roles we can apply for it made me motivated for the future.
Also it was intriguing to learn all about the different practice areas of commercial law as such a range of areas to qualify into is attractive especially as I was in first year and didn't really have an idea of which are I'm most attracted. Thus, learning about all of them really made me excited for the future.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
The business simulation exercise of working in a small team building our business 'Innova', we had to communicate as a team making business decisions about which markets to grow into and how to market the product. Through this business simulation exercise I developed interpersonal skills and problem solving skills.
Furthermore through networking and Q&A sessions I enhanced my public speaking skills.
