My time is split between college where I study towards my professional qualification and in the office where I am shadowing project teams and building up experience. When I am in the office I sometimes work across multiple teams depending on demand.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Up until present I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme as it has always kept me engaged. At certain points the large volume of information being presented can be daunting but it's very easily manageable and there is plenty of support available to give you as smooth a start as possible
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Coming from an engineering background, the biggest thing that I have learned is technical Accounting knowledge through the perusal of my professional qualification. While working in project teams I have also learnt how to manage upstream communication as well as downstream communication.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well thought through and structured, and this is communicated early on before your first day. Overall, given the rapid pace of covering the professional qualification there is very little flexibility for holidays in the first 6 months, however any requests can be considered individually
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have received a lot of support from my employer, and they have taken measures to ensure my introduction to the firm and the role have been as smooth as possible. The firm has provided a good support structure for new joiners with a career coach and buddy for every new joiner.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The tuition provider provides enough resources to ensure you have everything you need to pass the exams. Resources include Workbooks, Slides, Classroom sessions, Recorded Videos, and Tutor on demand services.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe the qualification is pivotal for certain aspects of my role as it provides technical knowledge which allows me to contribute to the client projects that I am working on. Specifically the training around ethics which is fundamental in all dealings with the client.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are plenty of societies which are directly sponsored by the firm, and even more 'unofficial' social activities that takes place between individual teams.

Why?
Very good firm to work for a diverse and young team. A lot of support offered for personal development and the opportunity to work with exciting clients and challenging problems.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
A good place to work and a lot support offered during the application process. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't underestimate the professional qualifications. They can be challenging, but rewarding when completed.
