Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
Daily tasks include selecting samples to verify with the client, as well as many conversations with the team and client.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Another key skill developed are interpersonal skills, as I am constantly changing teams and clients.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
I know well ahead of time the dates for exams and even what clients i am booked to.
This makes it easier to plan ahead of time for your future.
The promotion structure is very clear, with promotions based on time and exam passes up until the manager promotion which is based on job performance.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
IN terms of exam support, PwC dont get involed in any of the delivery of material however do arrange the college sessions for us at Kaplan. Depending on the manager, most will let me finish on time when i have exams approaching so i can revise in the evenings.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
Many of the modules are delivered online via pre recorded videos, but the more challenging ones are done in-person. They also support us with remote support over weekends (can ask questions via a chat to a tutor)
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
Most jobs will have a 'debrief' once signed off which will usually include going for dinner with the team and/or an activity like go-karting, lazer tag etc.. There are also annual events to celebrate seasons and holidays (eg summer and christmas parties). There's also many societies and sports teams to join similar to uni.
