Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role consists of managing costs and contract administration. I have been heavily involved on procurement on the projects i have worked on and managed the packages from tender through to final account.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme. However, i find the academic side challenging when compared to the job i do. Many of the skill i learn at my university i am unable to transfer to my job.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I started my course with no knowledge and have built up a strong level of knowledge across all of the aspects on my role. There is still lots to learn but the environment at Skanska allows me to learn and develop my skills at my own pace and how i want to.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is well structured from Skanska's point of view. My university however feels less structured and it is difficult to communicate my questions and to get a fast response. I often find myself asking my colleagues at Skanska questions i have for a faster response.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive lots of support from my employer. From my manager taking into account what i am studying at university and tailoring what i am doing to reflect this. Skanska also provide a programme over the two year trainee scheme to get a wide range of exposure to all of the different departments within Skanska and construction.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
