Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
On a day to day basis, I learn new applications such as powernaps and how to build apps from scratch, once knowing this and the knowledge is up to the company standard we will be working on projects that will launch this year. I also participate in making the newsletter.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy my programme, NatWest listened to my interests and aligned me to the work that i had a strong interest in and made sure it linked with my chosen courses. If I'm struggling or need information i can access that straight away which makes it a relaxing and smooth experience.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt new skills in Microsoft excel, and how to develop apps using powernaps. Recently created a management system from scratch using powernaps, I have also learned how to manage my time well between coursework and projects. Another skill I have developed is how to communicate when I'm unsure on how to do something.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is well structured I have my courses spread out so work load and courses don't pile up. It was quick and easy to organize when was best to book the courses to align with my work and was sorted within a week. Great communication from both sides.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I get so much support if i need any help i get an email back straight away. I also get a check in at the start of the week and the end of the week to ensure I'm doing okay and sticking to my goals that are set out.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
From the training provider i get a check in meeting every 12 weeks or sooner if I need it to see how the coursework is going and to talk about submissions to ensure i understand the work I have handed in. If I need any additional help I can email with enquiries.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification and the work I'm doing through the training provide aligns exactly with the work I'm doing in the office, so its building on the exact skillsets I need to do the job, its good than you can choose the courses that align best with your work than been given set ones.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We have volunteering station, to get involved in donating and packing things for Ukraine. We also have the apprentice council that I've signed up to participate in, to help with new apprentices and career fares and other things such as content for promoting the apprenticeship scheme, As well as this the apprentices meet on a Monday for coffee.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NatWest Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would recommend NatWest to a friend as i have settled in straight away, there is a good support system and great benefits that come with being an apprentice here with room to grow, there is loads of opportunities to expand into other areas of the bank to if you first initially don't enjoy what you are doing.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
My advice would be, learn as much as you can about the company before applying and if your lucky enough to secure a role get to know as many people as you can expand your network so if you need help or advice you have people in different areas that will be able to help.
