Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a day-to-day basis, it's considered good practice to have daily stand-ups within your sub-team so everyone knows what they are up to and if anyone is free to give them a hand. The nature of the work depends on the project and so do the external interactions, some client projects got daily interactions and some got weekly, but as part of my project there have not been daily external interactions.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme comes with great rewards and experience which is certainly enjoyable, expensed trips, training courses trips and much more. The experience is invaluable and all the teams I've had for the past 2 summers have certainly made a nice memorable experience. The team is supportive and if you are in the team you prefer the work itself is enjoyable and interesting as well.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Over the course of my second placement I developed skills in many microsoft related softwares that got a wide range of uses such as Sharepoint, PowerApps, Power Automate and those are just few of many. Along with skills related to a specific app I have also developed report writing skills and communication skills due to daily interactions.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme follows a simple structure, a normal university year (Sept-Jun) and then the apprenticeship during the summer (Jun-Aug), in short it's well organised, you can pick a team and depending on the availability you will stay in that team for that summer and you can choose to come back or choose another team.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support is always available and you can easily get in touch with your programme manager which will do their best to support in any way they can, however during this placement so far I haven't had an instance where I needed support so I am unable to accurate answer this.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Support is certainly big when it comes apprenticeships that take place along with your University year as there is already enough pressure from the course itself you do not want any external one and this is where this programme has its big plus; no work from the employer overlaps with your academic studies/year which leaves you to just focus one thing at a time thus making it a lot more convenient and efficient.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

As of yet there is not much content from my qualification that overlaps with my role, most of the work I've done was self taught, picked up along projects or taught by my experienced team members. I believe that post graduation will benefit my role a lot more than it is now.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are frequent social activities which you can get involved in and get to know more people. Professional networking events take place occasionally. Team socials are very frequent and you can engage with them by volunteering yourself to organise that social. Socials can range from office lunches to games club/ arcades.

Why?
PwC's Degree Apprenticeship programme is a very helpful programme to gather experience and build your network whilst also doing your degree at university, which will allow you to enjoy both the university life and get an insight into corporate life. Not to mention that it also puts you in a better position financially than most university students as you get paid monthly.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Be confident, it's normal to be nervous but as scary and big it will seem, it's a very enjoyable and friendly environment at PwC which will give you invaluable experience skills and a strong network. Do not worry about not having a wide range of skills before applying to PwC (considering you are applying for a Degree Apprenticeship) as you will pick them up on the way.
