Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I regularly program in Appscript and do a lot of data analysis and filtering with Alteryx or Tableau. My job consists of setting up meetings, product testing and building all sorts of new web apps through Angular and or React native. I also do a lot of pro-bono work for example working for an internal community called Colorbrave
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I love my program. It's an incredible scheme where I find theres the best work/life balance. It's really great how I can be paid, while studying at University. My tuition is being paid for and I am constantly learning every single day!! I love having some real life work experience while at University too.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I am constantly learning new skills every single day. I recently learnt React, React native, Typedscript appscript as well as really pushing my team-work. I have learnt how to cope in stressful environments and as part of my job I have to gain feedback on apps or products that I build.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I love how organised my program is. I have two lovely managers who take care of me extremely well and are always willing to pick up the phone to listen to anything at all. Honestly, I couldn't fault how well organised the program is. Not only do I feel cared for but there's not much that I could or would change at all.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
In terms of support, I feel as if PwC really couldn't do much more. Scarlette and Katherine, my employeers, have been absolutely superb and they support me in absolutely every way possible. We have Google Chat's on both work phones and laptops which they reply to so quickly if I need.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
If I needed help with any content on my course, my Employeers regularly help me and give me support in any way that need. They regularly would refer me to people that are better suited to helping me as well. If I need anything I will simply email, text or call them and they'll always answer quickly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel that by achieving well at PwC, I can practically do any job ever. It opens up so many doors and the fact I have had four years of in depth learning alongside senior managers and partners means I can go anywhere. The qualifications I have gained at my workplace are incredible.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
I haven't personally gotten involved with that many extra curricular actives at work. But, I know that they are on offer. They offer football... 5 a-side teams.. theatre is also a big thing at PwC as well as one group close to my heart is called Colorbrave which advocate for a safe workplace and anti-discrimination.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I would refer my friends because they pay quite well against competitors, they look after you in multiple ways; one of those ways being that I am provided with a full time career coach which talks to me specifically about my journey through the company and finally because there's just so many opportunities.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
Really spend a lot of time discovering what the individual lines of service do here. There's no point applying to general consulting or "Deals" as they have thousands of employees. Know your stuff! Also, I would recommend doing practice interviews on Hierview as they use that software to interview you.
