Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Start at around 9am. Need to work a minimum of 7.5hrs Monday to Friday. First thing I do is check my calendar and see if there are any meetings I have to attend. The rest of the day I focus on client work (google slides, power bi dashboards etc)
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy it very much. The work is very interesting and I've learnt a lot on the job. Everyone around me is very friendly so we've got a great support system around us if needed.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Learnt lots of new technology skills, eg: Python, SQL, Power Bi, Alteryx, Excel formulas, etc. And this was just in a couple of months. Also learnt how to improve our presentation skills and how to act professional.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
They give us support when needed. They make sure we don't rely on them too much which is very helpful as it increases our independency. The Ada College course is well structured as it prepares us for the practical skills potentially needed when you're in the office.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
A lot. Everyone is provided with a buddy and career coach, who are constantly there for support when needed. All you have to do is message them on google chat asking if they're free to chat/talk and they usually are.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The people at Ada College are very easy to contact if support is needed from them. They do surveys quite often to make sure we all feel as though we're being supported the way we should.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It helps a lot as we have learnt the technical side of what our roles require. They also do a lot of presentations which is good as it helps with our verbal communications and confidence.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
every team hold socials after work often so that there are many networking opportunities. There are also communities you can join but aren't many physical activities, eg: sport teams etc.
