To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Although the actual content of my programme I enjoy and I feel well supported in my role within NatWest, I've not had a great experience with my programme provider BPP which has made my programme less enjoyable

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Presenting and hosting meetings. Data analytics skills. Building relationships with a number of stakeholders. How to create journey maps. Self reflection and how to develop my skills for the future
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The course has not been well organised by BPP. Our learning has felt somewhat all over the place. Too many resources make it difficult when coming to study for our exam. Word counts changed and conflicting info provided makes it difficult to complete coursework.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I feel very supported by NatWest. My line manager has and continues to be very supportive, allowing me the time I need to complete my coursework, helping me find evidence for my portfolio and generally cares about my wellbeing
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Although I have received support from my coach, the information given can be conflicting from meeting to meeting. Lack of consistency. Towards the end of my course we started doing group huddles which would have really benefitted me from the start of the course.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My apprenticeship has helped me understand a lot of terminology used in projects and ways in which I can successfully run projects in the future. However, my level of apprenticeship will not give me the experience I need to become a project manager straight away at NatWest
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are a number of different things to get involved in NatWest, there are networks for different things such as Multicultural Network, Climate Network, LGBTQ+ Network. There are charity events run throughout the year such as 5k events. Social activities varies from team to team

Why?
I feel very supported in my role at NatWest. I feel like they are working towards values such as community and climate which I personally resonate with. They are big on learning so plenty of opportunities to develop skills. Different areas to work in and find something you enjoy doing
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
Really think about the role you're applying for and whether or not you will enjoy it. Do you want to become n expert in one field? Do you want a day to day that's varied?
