Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

So far, in the first few months of the apprenticeship, we are doing two college theory lessons each day. We are starting practical in April where we will do practical lessons each day.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my program a lot. I prefer practical work and I am already enjoying the theory side of things, which is surprising.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed many skills such as time handling and learning to be more independant in terms of research. We have not done an practical yet but once we start, I believe skills will be developed rapidly.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

There have been a few inconveniences relating to organisation within the program but this is due to it being the first year of the course being in place.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Our employer provides us with lots of support. We are given multiple mentors for us to turn to if we are struggling with any work. We are also told that we can extend deadlines if we think its too early.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We are provided with lots of different support methods including people to reach out to, and places to research.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The training and qualification is crucial for the job role and the skills are essential if you are planning on moving into the job after the apprenticeship.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We must complete a STEM activity each year of our apprenticeship. This includes activities such as going into schools and hosting events. We can also engage in sports activities with the university that the employer is partnered with.

Would you recommend Rolls-Royce to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Rolls Royce prove to care about their employees which is great as it makes you feel 'looked after'. The pay is great and the opportunities provided by the company are very broad.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Rolls-Royce?
Prepare to be offered a different course to what you wanted; lots of people are competing with you to get into such a good company.
