Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role as a supervisor is to not only deliver fantastic standards in customer service and on the shop floor, but also to oversee my colleagues and staff members. Be there for them with anything they need, with regards to training, progressing or even personal issues. As a supervisor we also strive to deliver the best from our shops, and support our manager in various different ways.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
My experience with the programme has been very up and down, I started off learning quite a bit, putting effort into what I was learning, and picking up some good skills, however the trainer I had at first (who has since left the business) wasn’t on the same track as me. I have since had a new trainer who has been absolutely amazing, and has supported me more than ever, she has got me signed off and moved forward as quickly and as pain free as possible, and for that, I will be always grateful!

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt many new skills including interpersonal skills, learning how my body language and behaviour affects the people around me, and how to manage various different situations that I will face. I have also learnt how to manage stock levels better, soi counts, and how to take charge better and improve myself as a supervisor.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Very well organised, I always know when [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is coming to see me, I always know what’s going to happen, and I everything is planned in advance so I know where I stand. I also know exactly what I’m supposed to be learning and exactly what is coming next in my journey.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I receive quite a bit of support from my employer in terms of helping me learn new things that are going to come up in my later assessments, and being trained in areas that are going to help my progression in the business, which is always extremely helpful for me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
A lot of support! [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is always only a message or a phone call away and she made it very clear from the start that she will always support me whenever I needed her. She also told me that she will always be there to teach me new things, or if I ever needed any support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It helps me in many ways. I am now more conscious of my behaviour with customers and making sure I’m making a conscious effort to watch my behaviour, body language and the way I talk to people. How I understand people and gage the help that different customers need has also changed.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I don’t believe there is currently extra curricular events in my workplace.
