I am s duty manager at Iceland foods , day to day , putting out stock , working on tills , answering customers phone calls, also customer service within the store itself . Stock loss , rotation, opening up and locking up the store at night

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I'm enjoying the programme, as I feel I'm learning new things about retail and its giving me more confidence in my day to day job.
My learning coach shaun is a huge help, when im struggling he's there ti help and explain tasks in more detail for me

On a day to day basis , im learning new skills .
Quite recently I've been able to run the Sunday shift as a duty manager, which is a huge responsibility, cashing up alone and locking up the store.
I've learnt how to print the drivers paper work for deliveries too

It's organised very well, it tells you l months by month what's needed , it has recaps at the end and knowledge checks after each module, so you know how much you've learnt and any areas that you may need to re visit.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

It varies , depending on the days.
We haven't had solid management in our store , so that's been difficult.
I have lots of support regarding training within the store and I feel like I'm learning all the time .
If I have questions then I feel they are answered

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have huge support from shaun my training provider hrs slways on hand to answer sny questions and concerns that I may have , he arranges video calls and face to face meetings , to go through anything I may need help with , I feel very supported by him and know hrs there
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I'm not sure yet , but I'm sure in time I will.
I'm constantly learning new this through the apprenticeship, which I'm able to take with me in my job , and I can always reference back to my learning if I need to double check something that I've done

Iceland is a very good place to work
They are a fair employer who looks after their employees.
The rate of pay has always been good .
You feel looked after and that they are listening and are there to support you everyday
There's also the well being hun with help

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Iceland Frozen Foods?
Just be yourself it's what they want.
Iceland are a supermarket and are a good company.
My advice is to definitely apply to work for iceland if you like a fast pace atmosphere, and if you are confident with other people
