Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I support the residential sales team, answering the telephone, creating brochures, updating the office sales board, updating the office Instagram. I also take the water meter readings on a monthly bases, the water temperature readings, the ladder checks and other general health and safety checks. I also send emails when requested and correspond with suppliers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy working behind the computer, learning software, data entry and social media. I struggle with talking to new people and answering the phone, but my line manager and colleagues have been very supportive and patient with me in learning to develop this and has helped me develop my confidence, even creating a telephone script to follow if I get stuck.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I've developed my skills using the telephone, particularly confidence, also confidence generally with colleagues. I've developed my Excel skills. I've learned about the property market and how to use the Reapit Software. I've learned how to take minutes for meetings, and how to send professional emails.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Lifetime training have been very good as the online training is very easy to use, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] my trainer has also been very supportive and encouraging. I find the training interesting and not too difficult. I find the modules quite interesting and valuable. I also enjoy the monthly meetings as it's a chance to meet others in my company who do the same course.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My line manager has been very supportive and patient with me as I have struggled with my confidence and general anxiety in the office and over the phone. She is encouraging with me doing my training and modules, and asks if she can help. She also sometimes comes to my monthly meetings with my trainer which has been lovely as she is very helpful and encouraging.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider is quite supportive, however sometimes it takes her a few days to respond to my messages. She has been supportive when I've been ill from work and couldn't attend my monthly meeting. She has also been very supportive and encouraging during the meetings and given lots of helpful tips.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel the training has been valuable in some of the ideas I've been introduced to, such as the matrix, how to make decisions effectively, how to use time wisely, how to ask for advice/feedback from colleagues. I also find some of the training quite interesting such as how vulnerable can become radicalised.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I have been to some professional networking events, although my social anxiety can make it difficult, I am going to try to attend more of these, my manager is very encouraging for me to attend them as she acknowledges how they can help me develop my confidence. Also, I will be doing charity work through my work, which is helping at a homeless/vulnerable people soup kitchen.
